2nd place is Hong Kong (874 dollars, about 1.02 million won), and Japan is 901 dollars (about 1.06 million won), a little cheaper than 6th place Korea. The price of the iPhone 13 in Korea starts at 1.09 million won (about $ 927). The most expensive country is Mexico, at $1446. However, these rankings are in U.S. dollars excluding taxes. The US iPhone 13 price starts at $799.

Apple didn't say exactly why the shipping prices in each country were different. However, according to the industry, various factors such as exchange rates, trade tariffs, and logistics costs are reflected in the export price by country. Brazil, which has the highest export price, tends to impose high taxes on imported products.

In some cases, prices are adjusted to target specific markets. Apple has set the price of the iPhone 13 in China 300 to 800 yuan (about 54,000 to 145,000 won) cheaper than the iPhone 12. Considering that the iPhone 13 has maintained a similar price point to its predecessor in most countries, it is interpreted as a strategy to focus on the Chinese smartphone market.
